You're not going to believe this one! I was booting up my
computer at a client's house, when their cat jumped on my
lap and onto my computer, stepping on the numlock key, as
well as several others that I was not fast enough to
notice. Ever since, my computer boots with number lock
"on". I don't want to have to toggle it off before putting
in my password every time I boot. I have already checked
in control panel for any mention of number lock on boot,
and set my CMOS setup to keep number lock off at boot. No
go. Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Catherine

When you're at the welcome screen, toggle num-lock off and then click on "Turn off computer" to
restart the machine without logging in.
