I added a Memorex DVD +R/+RW to my Windows XP PC (2.4 GHz, 640 MB
memory, 80 GB drive). Ever since installing it and the software that
came with it, my system reboots at odd times for no known reason. After
coming back up, it tells me Windows is recovering a a serious problem
(unknown Driver problem). The driver appears as "Microsoft 5.1.2535.0
dated 7/1/2001.
I've encounter a reboot after starting windows and enteringmy windows
password. I've also been rebooted immediately after putting a DVD orCD
in the drive andclosing the drawer.
Does anyone else have similar problems after installing new hardware?
Are there newer drivers? Any help is appreciated.
