IEEE 802.11g connect a wireless router to the broadband
modem and put WiFi card in your laptop.

Be sure to set security properly so only your MAC addresses
can log-on.
802.11g is newest version, it is faster than other versions
and compatible with almost any wireless network. 802.11b is
most common.

Some wireless routers also have CAT5 cable connections so
you can use the wireless for only your laptop.
