Having trouble getting my tape drives working with the
backup software which comes with both programs. In each
case, the tape-drive is being seen and is showing as
working when checked in Device Manager. Problem appears to
be with the actual tapes or tape names. In 2000 the
default name is 'new media' and in XP - 'new'. I've
formatted tapes and used the definitions as above but keep
getting a message which says - 'There is no unused media
available with the selected type. Add unused media or
click Cancel to select another type. I have no virgin
tapes, but would have thought that erased or formatted
tapes would have been okay. If anyone can help I'd be most
grateful. Thanks.
