ddr memory

[BANDIT]

Can anybody help me to make my 256ddr.memory work,my p/c.
is made to take it,I know I have to remove my SDRAM first
but when I install the ddr.I cant get it to work so no
boot/up.I do know how to get into bios and all that
entails in choosing the things I need,but it does not say
how to get ddr working instead of SDRAM,tahanks in
advance,BANDIT.

PC100/PC133 has 168 pins, DRR PC200/PC266 has 184
pins...they use different slot designs and are not
interchangeable. Some makers may install both kinds of
slots on the same mobo, or so I've heard, but you can't
install both type of RAM at same time. I imagine you may
have to set the BIOS to auto-detect the RAM type or even set
a jumper.
Your mobo manufacture website should have your answer. You
can determine the mobo make and model by reading the silk
screened printing on the board or by using some software
detection programs such as AIDA32 or BelArc Advisor

Which mainboard, the ECS K7S5A ?
