.avi files from media player v6.4

I have 6 of .avi files recently transferred to a system
with WinXP OS and has media player v9.0 on there. I
could not open any of the .avi files. The error message
indicated that "ClassFactory cannot supply requested
class".

Please advise. How to open the 6 of my .avi files with
media play v9.0.

Browse to: C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\mplayer2.exe.
