View Full Version : Automatic Signin suddenly unavailable

After two years running perfectly, my Windows Messenger
(4.7.2009) refuses to sign in automatically. The "Sign
in as ..." option has vanished from the tray icon menu
and when I sign in manually, the option to save my
password and sign in automatically does not appear
anymore.

I also tried to install MSN Messenger 6.1, with similar
results, so the problem will probably be somewhere with
the passport service.

Running this on XP Pro SP1 with all critical updates.

Can anyone tell me how to get this back to work again ?

TIA

Greetings,

Try this, download and run the following .reg file and then reboot:
