Trouble: Does not detect an USB device.

Environment: Windows XP SP1 ("windows update" says its totaly updated)

Motherboard: sis630 (laptop computer)

device not detected: miniRW Benq2410 external USB (2.0 and 1.1)

The History: Yesterday I plugged for the first time the device to the USB.
It was detected without any problem. I tried to burn a CD and, aprox. at the
80%, it stopped burning and I can hear clearly the sound of a USB device
disconecting (as if I unplugged the cable). From this moment, it doesn't
detect any more the device when I plugg it. It detects ok other devices,
like my digital camera.

Things I've try: reset the PC. delete the USB root from device manager.
Search in the registry all the references to the RW and delete them.

Any clue of how fix it?

Thanks a lot, and sorry my bad English.

Have you tried to go to the manufacturer's website to get updated drivers?
