Help! When I try to open my old MS Word docs that I
created previously in Win98/Office 97, they will not open
on my new machine with WinXP. I loaded Office 97 on the
new computer. Thanks!

They certainly should load just fine. Please post details of the error
messages to the correct newsgroup for Word which is

microsoft.public.word.newusers
or
microsoft.public.word.general
