I`ve just tried installing a l`espion digital camera onto
my computer which is run on Windows XP. It said that the
camera hadn`t been approved to run on XP and I should
contact my hardware vendor for more information before
finishing installation. Any ideas if it`s safe to finish
installing? Any help appreciated (my email address is
above), thanks.

Does the prompt indicate "non certified"? If so, it's safe to install, but
the drivers may not work correctly with XP.

If that's the case, consider buying an inexpensive card reader, which will
show up in Windows Explorer as a new drive letter. Place the camera card
into the reader, and manipulate the files just as you would any other.

Be sure to buy a reader that handles the type of card that your cam uses.

Cat I bought the same camera today and I'm having exactly
the same problems. I accepted the drivers but just
cannot get the camera and XP to talk to each other. XP
does not recognise photos on the camera, or when it does,
it fails to download them. I have been working on this
for many hours now, trying reinstalling drivers etc. If
you found a way round this I'd be much appreciative if
you'd reply here!
