I know this might not be the best group so I apologize in advance but my
email has gone tits up lately for some unknown reason.

I haven't changed any settings at all but for some reason it will not let me
send mail no matter which account I use.

I keep getting the following error message which on the Microsoft website
says something needs changing which doesn't, namely the secure server
settings.

An unknown error has occurred. Account: 'Steve Main', Server:
'mail.o2.co.uk', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '554 Please check that
your outgoing mail server settings are correct. To do this go to
http://www.freeserve.com/help/email/freeserveemailsettings/oe5easysettings.htm.
Or contact technical support for assistance.', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No,
Server Error: 554, Error Number: 0x800CCC6F

Imp at my wits end has anyone else encountered this?

If all your account settings are correct do this:

Disable any FW/AV - Test.

If that does not work.
Recreate the email account - Test.

If that does not work.
Create a new Identity and email account - Test

You should be up and running now.
