View Full Version : Replying instead of doing a new post

I've tried replying in this newsgroup, but I get a delivery failure
notification because (I assume) the person I'm replying to is using a bogus
address to control spam. But I see others have replied in here, so how did
they do it? Is there some way to reply to the post rather than the post's
sender?
Thanks!

Make sure you're using "reply group" and not "reply". The former posts to
the newsgroup server and the latter replies to the sender's e-mail address.

D.P.
Do you see a Microsoft logo in the upper left corner of
this page(I do) or are are you using your ISP's News Reader?
Try going to the following link:
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgroups/default.aspx?NewsGroup=3Dmicrosof=
t.public.windowsxp.general&SLCID=3DUS&ICP=3DGSS3&sd=3DGN&id=3Dfh;en-us;ne=
wsgroups
I have found that in some rare cases I cannot reply to
some posters here.
