here is my problem. i have to 2 harddrives installed on
cpu. the first one is set as prim. master with win98 on
it. the 2nd one is set as prim slave with xp hom on it. i
am able to boot up to anyone of these o/s by changing the
boot sequence.when i am in win98 and go to my computer it
shows it as c drive. the other drive is d, but when i
right click d there is nothing there. when i go into xp
and go to my computer it shows xp as c drive and the other
drive (98) as f drive and says it is there. what i want to
do is have a dual boot set up. i was told win 98 had to be
primary (which it is). then install xp. in order to in
stall xp i would have to do a full install which would
format drive. tried this but it formatted my win98 drive
as it is drive c. had to disconnect ribbon cable from
slave drive to reinstall 98. now i am back to original
setup. can i set up a dual boot or not. should i stay they
way i am, and just change boot sequence when i want to use
either or o/s. thanks
