Open File/folder problem

My problem started with "double clicking a folder and NOT
gettin "open" but rather "search". Right clicking the
folder showed "search" as the top or default selection in
the menu. By using Folder Options/File Types, I have
somehow tied the command for "In-box Repair too" to
the "Open" command. I am stymied - not able to get back
to normal. Win XP Home. HELP!
