dual boot win98se/winXP, I have NTL Broadband internet
connection through win98, but cannot connect to server in
winXP. net diag shows that, although all settings are
correct (and same as win98) default gateway failed, this
is the root problem. Why can't I connect using dual boot?
NTL Tech help say that the network is fine, as I know it
is, and that it must be a computer setting, which they
can't help with. Can anyone shed some light here?

Make sure you're NIC is up to date on the drivers, also try right clicking
the LAN connection for the connection and choose repair to see if you can
get the DG address.
