I have a K80 which I am trying to install on my XP Pro home network
using a Jet Direct170x print server. I can print fine but not scan or
fax. The Blurb with the updated drivers A140509_enu_XP from Microsoft
says that it should work fine with this print server. However the
instructions with the print server appears to contradict this which is
a shame since I bought the server specifically for this purpose.

I get to the bit on the updated drivers setup which allows you to
select a network installation but when I do so I cannot move onto the
next screen. It just won't let me. I've uninstalled, reinstalled,
with and without firewall and antivirus till I'm blue in the face but
still no joy.

Naturally I contacted Microsoft but they ignored my message as per
usual.

Can anyone help me?

I do not believe that any of the HP JetDirects will allow any scanner/faxing
thorough it. I would contact HP, since they made the Jetdirect unit.
