I recently contracted a virus after 1 day on the net. the
infected file was a windows system file. cmd32.exe it was
a K_bot virus which had infected it. Does this file need
replacing as I deleted it because it was unrepairable. if
it does need replacing how do I do it. Plase help as I am
fed up as it is a brand new machine and its all going
wrong all ready.
Thanks in advance.

Matt;
That is one of the virus files and has no legitimate use.
You do not want to replace it.

You can prevent these type of issues by ALWAYS having a functioning
updated antivirus as well as a firewall.
Also avoid file sharing software such as Kazaa which is a great magnet
for viruses, spyware and other malware.

If you got that virus, somewhere along the way somebody probably did
something wrong that allowed the virus to gain access to the computer.

Hello

Go to www.symantec.com and look up that virus and it should
tell you how to remove it. Also make sure that you have a virus
scan on your pc and it is updated with the latest signature file
