Hi, I'm having an error when I open my control panel.
It displays an error message with the following:
"To enable the advanced sound effect for gaming, please make sure the
setting of Hardware Acceleration is "full". The directory is as below:
Control Panel -> Multimedia(Win98)/Sound & Multimedia(Win2000, Me)/Sound &
Audio Device(Win XP) ->Audio -> Playback/Advance... -> Performance ->
Hardware Acceleration."

There is this message and an OK button. Nothing else. At this point the XP
becomes unstable and I have this hardware acceleration setting set to full.
One more thing, I don't play.

Any ideas, please?

If you dont need the sound card acceleration set to full, open dxdiag and
change it there, just lower the sound tab a notch.
