Hardware Problem

I just upgraded my PC from Windows Me to XP and now my CD-
R/RW won't work.
Do I have to buy a new CD-R/RW? or New software?
Easy CD Creator 4 came with my computer.
I have looked for a fix or update for this version, but so
far no luck.
Please help me.

EZCD 4 is not compatible. Check www.roxio.com for an update
to the latest 5.x version which has XP patches or upgrade to
version 6

Hello
Your version of Easy Cd Creator will not work on XP ok
you will need version 5, you must research before upgrading and
a good way to make sure that all your devices will work with the
new OS

Better yet, go to www.nero.com and buy Nero. EZCD Creator 6 has some
significant bugs.

Hi,

If you have used the CD/RW for more than 3 years, you
better buy a new one that bundled with the Nero 5 burning
rom. I bought a Ricoh CD/RW (48X) 16 months ago and it
works great with my XP Pro. It only took around 5 minutes
or less to burn an audio CD of 700MB using Nero5.
CD/RW now is cheap, around $40.- but if you buy Nero 5
alone, it costs around $29.90

Wait...... did you try booting from the cd and after you specify your RID
controler perform an inplace upgrade??? you might just save your previous
intallation of the OS
