Also...it is well-known that CD-C prior to v.5 is NOT compatible with XP.
(And you cannot 'upgrade' it. You must buy the newer version.)

As for the drive itself; it may work fine with compatible software...or you
may want to consider upgrading the firmware. (It's unlikely that you will
need to REPLACE the burner!)
