I am trying to run a serial speech synthesizer in a command
window in XP Home so I can run old DOS aps using speech, since I am blind.
I can do this with no problem. However in earlier version of Windows,
including ME, I was able to tweek the win.ini or sys.ini file to allow me to
let multiple command windows share the same com1 device whenever that
particular command window was open. In XP I cannot seem to do this. Is
there any way to do it? Reply here or at bihoatcoxnet. Thanks
