It worked... but only from DOS, real DOS...
I booted with a DOS disk and then navigate to
c:\windows\system32
then:
ren catroot2 xcatroot
reboot computer to windows and run the win update, BUT -
It only installed one of 2 updates and failed on the
second one.
So reboot and run the win update again and it will install
the 2nd one just fine.
What a pain......
