Ok, I got some info at another site and tried this:
Start/Settings/Printers and faxes/right-click on printer
icon, click on Properties at bottom, make sure "Spool
print documents so program finishes printing faster"
and " start printing after last page is spooled"
and "start printing immediately" are all unchecked.
Check "Print directly to the printer". I noticed when
this is done two boxes under that remain checked but are
shaded: "print spooled documents first" and enable
advanced printing features." After printing a few
multiple-page documents that seems to have fixed the
problem- pages come out in order, 1-2-3,etc. instead of 3-
2-1 as before.
