Word 2000 trouble

Hi!

Recently word 2000 has refused to work. As soo as it is
opened it quickly closes again. I also cannot find
the 'normal' template. I have tried to un and reinstall
the program and and also restore the system to an early
date but it doesnt do anything to word! If you could help
it would be greatly appreciated. Thanx,
