Hi All,

I am having comcast broadband internet connection at home(Gateway computer
with Windows XP OS.).

Of late I am seeing some strange behaviour on my computer, where every few
minutes a windows opens up (not a pop up ad) on the task bar.
When I click on it, it does not open up, nor can I restore or maximize it.
It does not have anything on its title bar. If I am not using the computer
for some time,
then there will be huge number of windows opened up like that. I feel this
is some kind of virus, if so what is it and what is the cure for that.
Can anyone let me know about that. A quick response is highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

This was answered in another newsgroup.

If you must post identical messages in more than one newsgroup please
crosspost, i.e. please place all of the newsgroups in the Newsgroup field of
one message, separated by commas. That way when someone reads the message
in one newsgroup it will be marked as read in all of them. In addition, an
answer posted in one newsgroup will generally show up in all of them.

This is usually not necessary since most of those who answer posts read
more than one newsgroup.
