outlook express can not delete message in out box

Can you drag and drop it into the delete folder? try that
first.
Or:
Can you MOVE it to a new folder?
If so, perhaps create a new folder (XYZ) and MOVE it to
that.
Close down OE, do a general search for the term XYZ, and
when you find the folder, delete it.

worth trying to start with.

An alternative is to move ALL other files to new folder
XYZ, then close down OE and then delete the "inbox" folder
as per above.
When you open up OE it'll form a new "inbox" folder and
you can transfer everything into it from XYZ file.

i have had to do something similar in the past.
