FREEZE UP, PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!

My computer with Windows XP froze recently while using AOL
instant messenger and when i restarted it the computer
only makes it to the blue Windows XP logo screen after the
black loading screen, after than it stays there and does
nothing!!! my computer as of now is un-useable!!! iy wont
make it passed the logo screen so i can't even see whats
wrong with it or use a program to fix it!! HELP ME what do
i do??

I would say if you have your Windows CD to boot up to it and run a repair on
your OS and then you should be back in action.

The repair option in XP doesn't always work so you may need to reinstall it from scratch.
Sorry there is no easy solution to this. Hope you have backed up your data......
