Thanks, Michael Solomon for the extensive help, but my machine stopped
behaving like
Showing unresponsive black screen upon booting after Virus scan with the
latest Definition.
No virus was found!

But in my Event Viewer I found Warnings and Errors!

By the way, my XP pro is OEM CD.

You're welcome.

Perhaps the warnings and errors were related to the issue, hard to say
without knowing.

You might want to check to be sure your drivers are up to date. Also, while
at the XP desktop, try placing the XP CD in the drive, when the setup screen
appears, select "Check System Compatibility." It may find hardware and/or
software issues that may be the source of the errors you saw.
