I have an IBM ThinkPad with Windows XP installed. The
computer is only 1 month old.

From time to time everythings slows down to a crawl. When
I open the task manager I see that a program called
rundll32.exe is eating up 99% of the CPU time. I try to
end the process but XP won't let me.

This program continues to eat up 99% of the CPU time for
an extended period of time. It eventually goes away, but
only after 10-15 minutes.

Is there something wrong? It is really annoying when this
happens during a presentation.

Thank you,

Ed Malthouse
