deleting unwanted contacts

Is it possible to delete unwanted contacts from messenger 6.1? If so how do
I go about it?

select "help", then "help topics", then _read_.

You can only delete them from your list in privacy if the contacts
have deleted yourself from their lists.

Greetings JT,

Assuming you just mean on the main contact list, just open up the main Messenger window, then
right-click them and choose Delete Contact.
