Missing mscoree.dll

Norton's System Works is reporting a missing
file,"mscoree.dll," that cannot be found. I've just
installed XP Pro on a new hard drive, which worked fine
for several days until this message appeared. What is
this file? How and should I restore it? So far, the
system appears to be working normally. I have the
original installation disk.
