I posted once before a while back on this and had no
luck. So I'm giving it a try again. I've tried everything
that I know of to try to make my computer boot faster. I
took a suggestion to try Microsofts BootVis and didn't
help increase any speed. However I now know it takes 69.3
Seconds for Windows XP to boot. Is this normal for people
running this board? It appears that 40 seconds of this
48.9 seconds of this time is spent on intializing the
disk. This does not see right to me. It seems aweful slow
compared to even some older computers. I have only what I
need starting up. I've also tried disabling everything
from MSCONFIG. It Still takes just as long to boot. The
Drvies are set to DMA mode in the properties.This boot
time is with a clean intsall of Windows and nothing else
installed. Would updating my bois help in any way? I'm
sick of this slow boot time, any help would be
appreciated, I'm completely despreate. Thanks.
