Opening Excel or Word from Explorer errors

Hi, please can somebody help me??????
I use Explorer to open all my documents. If I open a
Word or Excel document directly from explorer, and the
window is not already open, then I get an error. These
errors vary but are always something like "You already
have this document open, do you wish to open a duplicate
doc?".
How can I stop this happening?

What does this question have to do with hardware? Both Word and
Excel have newsgroups which would be more appropriate for your
question.
