If you have installed the reader correctly, the reader
will appear as a removeable drive in windows explorer.

Thn you can just copy and delete file as needed.

Nope! done that ages ago. Windows Explores sees the files fine but will not
read them. Any suggestions?

I have just tried out another compact flash card "Viking" in my camera and
hay presto I can read this cards images with windows viewer. The Kodak card
files are read protected - for some reason - probably so we have to by their
hardware. There is a directory called DCIM which is write protected and one
called MISC which has one file in it called AUTPRINT.MRK which has no
associated software. What reads .mrk files then?

MRK stands for "Informative Graphics Markup File". I am still none the
wiser. Is anyone else? Well if Kodak want to be so damn secretive they can,
so there!!!
