I am looking at purchasing a new pc with a 6526G-L mainboard based on the
Intel 845G chipset. I understand from the Intel website that this chipset
includes sound capabilities, but there isn't much info there.

The only thing I use audio for is recording vinyl LPs to CD. I currently
have a SoundBlaster AWE 64, and the new PC lists a SoundBlaster Vibra as an
optional extra.

Having looked at the Creative website, all the new cards seem aimed at
dedicated gaming enthusiasts who need 6.1 etc.which is of no use to me.

For my requirements:

Is the Vibra any better than the AWE 64 I currently have?
Is the Vibra (or the AWE) any better than what is built in to the Intel
chipset?

Thanks
