Sound card driver Compaq Presario 1230

I recently upgraded mu OS from Windows 98 to Windows XP
on my Compaq presario 1230. And I have lost sound.
Please, please assist somebody.

What kind of sound card is in the machine? Get the latest W2K./XP driver
from Compaq for the card and make sure the machine is supported in WinXP.

Hello

o to compaq's website and look up your pc model and find the
drivers that will support Win XP ok. Also remove any drivers right
now that relate to your sound card.
