What does XP really mean.

Many claim XP stands for "Xerox Ploy" which was the MS code
name for a clever scheme to repackage Windows 2000 under a
new name and introduce it as a new product in the consumer
marketplace.

This question is asked here periodically, and always gets a
string of so-called humorous responses. The correct answer is
eXPerience.

XP = eXPerience! C'mon Ken, do you expect folks to swallow
such a simple explanation? As an established literary
genre, all stories about MS must include questionable
ethics, bully tactics, black helicopters, Freemason
handshakes, or some other hook which evokes suspicion, fear,
or loathing. Presuming you are not trying to be humorous,
you should at least try to be credible!
