hello everyone, I get a little bit problem when I reinstall my XP.
actully, I bought my computer couple weeks ago.then I want to install my
XP(home) system.
I used CD-ROM to start my computer, then formated my Drive C:\
after that, I started to reinstall my Xp,and the computer started to copy
some system files
to the hardisk. when the copy to 11%, then the system stoped copying. I did
try to reinstall it
for 3 times, but it stoped at 11% always. I don't know why.
is there anyone can help me or give my some suggestions.
thanks alot!!

Sounds like a hardware compatibility problem. What are the specifications of
your computer? Did you run the compatibility test before attempting the XP
install?

Actually xp home upgrade shouldnt have let you go that far,it first searches
for a previous windows os,if non found,as it couldnt with the format it stops
right there. Are you booting to the xp cd,where after it installs the drivers,a info page
is displayed, saying repair,or install xp.You have to boot to the cd to install. If you get
to the info page,try repair,at the cmd screen type:CHKDSK C: /R
press enter key for password.
