Hello. My professor puts all his lectures on line with powerpoint 2000 progam. I have Windows XP. I have been able to download these lectures but I am unable to open and read then. Is there a way to do so? If so, what will I need and is it something I
can download from this website?

If you really are a "college" student, I am quite surprised you do not have
some version of MS Office...it has several of the programs which undoubtedly
you will need during your "college" career...ie...Word, Power Point (?),
Excel, & Access......well anyway...a student version of this software is
very economical......think very seriously about investing in this ,,,,and
LEARNING how to use them before you have to learn in a crunch.....

Thank you Carey the viewer works wonderful. Now I have yet another question. My profeesor mentioned that you could print the information if you put 6 pages onto one. The lectures are 20-30 pages in length per class. I have looked at the printing option
s and I don't see that option available. Do you have any suggestions ?

File / Print
(in lower left) Print What? -- choose "Handouts"
To the right of the Print What dialoge is "Handouts" where you select how
many per page.
In the extreme lower left, you will note that the default is "Grayscale" .
If your PP has color backgrounds, DO NOT use this option. Choose Color or
"Pure Black and White".
P.S.
