View Full Version : Computer Reboot Problem including Event Log (SAME ERROR)

Jacob Weber
April 23rd 03, 05:16 AM
I am getting this same error: The device,
\Device\Harddisk2\D, is not ready for access yet.

Source: DISK EventID: 15

Its funny because your hardware is almost the exact same
as my own. It is also causing crashes anytime I play any
DirectX game and when I run 3dmark2001se or 3dmark2003.

AMD 2100+ 266mhz
Asus A7V8X bios rev 1011
2x256mb Micron memory PC2100
ATI 9800 Pro 128mb with 19" KDS monitor
SoundBlaster Audigy Gamer
LG DVD and LG 52x24x52x CD-RW
Western Digital 80 gig hdd 8mb cache 133mb/sec
Maxtor 27.2 gig HDD 2mb cache 66mb/sec
Custom case with 540watt antec ps
Windows XP Pro SP1/DirectX 9.0/ATI Catalyst 3.2/Audigy

If you have a good reply, please email me since I rarely
check these boards.... thanks

Check the rest of your system event log for evt ID 9 and 11. If you have
those as well then most likely that drive is dead or dying.
