Hi All
Don't know if this is a mouse hardware problem or a driver problem, maybe
both. Plugged in my new mouse, works fine for awhile, however I've found
that if I should accidentally bump it while windows xp professional is
coming up that it won't work (i.e. no light on the bottom and no cursor
movement). Generally the only way to get the mouse going again is to plug
in a different mouse then remove it and plug the mx500 back in. Now this is
pure annoyance. On one occasion xp told me that the mouse had
malfunctioned, but clearly this isn't so because it works perfectly as long
as I'm careful not to touch the mouse until xp is up all the way. I'm using
the usb ports on the back of my microsoft usb keyboard (usb 1) to plug in
the mouse (yes I've tried it on another plug but that's not convenient and I
don't want to deal with the caught cord garbage). Every other mouse I own
works perfectly on the keyboard usb ports. Any suggestions appreciated.
