I've downloaded 8 new fonts from a link on a microsoft page, but still being relatively new to all this computing stuff, can you tell me how I get to use them?? When I dbl click on one, a notepad page opens and displays the font but thats all. How do I get
to use them to create stuff?

No you don't. There is no install option with fonts.
