Maxtor, western digital and seagate they are all good they
are all my personal choice if i could chose 1 it would be
western digital but i got a seagate

I've heard IBM drives were very good, but have heard that
they are/have sold the line.
I have Maxtor, primarily because it was on sale when I was
buying.
I think all the name brands are very good... They probably
have MTBF numbers in the 100,000 hour range. But in real
world use, your values may vary.

And of those, they all make different models with different specifications
and qualities.
