Yes, a new printer that is faster and has better resolution
than the old 4c is much less expensive now.

they are not making a driver for my scanner that is
compatible with XP.

success. Can anyone help?

Before you give up, check to see if there are any Windows 2000 drivers for
that scanner. These will sometimes do the job, although this info may not be
documented.

I'm using an HP Scanjet 4C in Windows XP Home without any problem.
It's connected to an Adaptec AHA-2940AU PCI SCSI Controller.
