I have installed a Lexmark X125 with my Hewitt-Packard
Windows XP program . Everything was fine until recently.
Now I keep getting an error message and the rinter will not
operate in any mode. The message is telling me that I have
not configured the right driver. And that it is necessary
in order for the printer to write. What's up with that???

Hello
What if you removed the printer driver and and make sure you
have the lastest driver fro Lexmark and then re-install them, give
that a try.

Did you really uninstall your printer... or do you think you uninstalled
your printer?
There are three separate steps and all three must be complete for XP to
'see' the new drivers.
Disconnect the printer.
Go into the Control Panel, Add/Remove programs and uninstall any
printer/fax/scanner software.
Then go to Printers & Faxes and right click and delete your printer and fax.
Reboot the PC. Do NOT reconnect the printer. Go back to Printers & Faxes
in the Control Panel and from the toolbar, select File, Server Properties.
In the drivers tab, delete all the entries for the printer.
Right click on My Computer and select Properties. Click on the Hardware
tab, then on Device Manager. Find the line "Imaging Devices" and click on
the + to expand the tree. If there are any references to the scanner part
of the Lexmark All in One, right click and select Uninstall.
Reboot the PC. Do NOT reconnect the printer.
Download a new set of drivers from the printer manufacturer's website at
http://tinyurl.com/561z
Follow the instructions at the printer manufacturer's website and only
connect the printer when the software tells you to do so.
