Need windows certified fire wire card IEEE I394

I'm a semi-computer literate single mom whose daughters
received ipods for christmas as a gift. My computer needs
a windows certified fire wire IEEE 1394. Could someone
please hlep me and tell me where I can purchase one of
those, will I be able to install it myself, and the name
of the product I'm looking for? Thank you so much.

Yes you can but you will have to open your computer case
if your up to and also go to any store like Best Buy, Circuit City
and you will find what you need. Keep me posted

There are many IEEE 1394 or Firewire cards available. If
your computer does not have USB 2.0 you can get a card that
has both Firewire and USB 2.0 for a little more money than
the cost of either one. It will only use one PCI slot. The
cards are easy to install IF you can read and follow the
directions. You will need a few basic hand tools, a small
or medium flat blade and a #2 (a #1 is also helpful)
screwdriver. Some small sockets or nut drivers also help.
