I have made a mistake by modifying boot.ini from an NTFS
drive. This mistake costs my WinXP Pro not be able to
boot. Can you please tell me what utility I can use so
that I can browse my NTFS drive and thus edit the
boot.ini?

You have several options. One it to use the Recovery Console by booting
with your XP CD and choosing the first option to repair with the recovery
console. Once logged in to the RC use the bootcfg command to repair your
boot.ini file.

Another option, if you have trouble getting to the recovery console, is a
free download from Terabyte Unlimited. Go to
http://www.bootitng.com/utilities.html and download EditBINI. This tool
will allow you to edit your boot.ini file from a DOS or 9x boot floppy.
