You cant transfer xp disc to disc, the security settings
wont allow it,at least for reg. users. To operate a new
disc,if it shows up in my computer,(running as slave)
its formatted,if not it needs to be.Install windows xp
cd,shut down computer,start,the options to format,or
install xp appear.First however, set new hd to master,
disconnect old, after xp is up and running, format the old
hd,you cant run two versions of xp,even on seperate hds.
A computer repair can transfer the data for you.Where
you went wrong,as microsoft says,a new motherboard
shouldnt use an old disc from other motherboards, even
two exact machines shouldnt switch hds.
