I did a update and now the windows XP shows a welcome Screen that I have to
click on my profil icon to log in to windows XP. I am the only one who has a
profile and the only one that use the pc here at home.
Before this update I only have to start my pc and then it went all up
without this crappy logon welcome screen... can I get wrid of it??? how???

Go Start|Run type in "control userpasswords2" (without the quotes) and hit
Enter. Uncheck the box which states "Users must enter a user name and
password to use this computer". Now your computer should boot straight into
Windows as it did before this update :-)

Go into control panel, click on user accounts and you will see "change the
way users log on and off" You should have no problems from there ;)

This will not solve his issue, Dave. He wants the computer to boot straight
to the desktop, not having to log on at all.
