Query about modem

Hi All

We are students of a university and developing a
project "IP Based PABX" using WINDOWS XP ,VC++ 6.0, TAPI
3.0 and APACHE MODEM MODEL # A56SP-HCF.

But we are facing a very crucial problem in developing
this project.And we think this problem is due to microsoft.

Problem:
we tested our APACHE modem with Windows XP Phone dialer
which is tapi based. Phone dialer does not support full
duplex communication with this modem even though our modem
is full duplex.

Now please answer the following question,

Q.1 Why Phone dialer does not support full duplex voice
communication using this modem and windows XP.

Q.2 How Can we can configure this modem(A56SP-HCF) so
that it support full duplex communication with window XP
and TAPI 3.0 ?.

Q.3 Please guide us How we can use this modem as
full duplex voice channel under windows XP.
Q.4 If this windows XP does not support full duplex
communication using this modem ,then please suggest an
alternative so that we can develop our project.

Have you installed the latest drivers for your modem from the manufacturer?
XP may have used a generic modem driver which would have been good enough
for half duplex and connecting to the internet, but not give you the full
duplex support that you need.

It appears the most recent XP drivers from the manufacturer can be
downloaded from
http://www.apache-micro.com/english_flash/drivers/drivers_modems.htm . I'm
not familiar with this particular modem, but I bet the manufacturer could
answer your questions if you are still having trouble with the new driver.

appears to be the URL to sign up for their User Group and support.
